CidraLine Terms of Service

Acceptance

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and CidraLine Team (“CidraLine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the CidraLine mobile application and any related services (the “App”).

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1) What the App Does

CidraLine helps you catalog and archive dessert experiences by letting you create entries with photos, notes, ratings, and optional locations, so you can build a personal “dessert map” and revisit past discoveries.

2) Eligibility (17+)

You must be at least 17 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

3) Accounts

• Account information: you may need to provide name, username, and email address.
• Account security: you are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and activity under your account, and for notifying us of unauthorized use.

4) Your Content

• Your ownership: you retain ownership of the photos, notes, ratings, and other content you create (“User Content”).
• License to operate: you grant CidraLine a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display your User Content solely to provide, maintain, and improve the App and the features you choose to use.
• Your responsibility: you represent you have the rights necessary to submit User Content and it does not violate law or others’ rights.

5) Photos and Faces; No Biometric Use

• We do not perform facial recognition or biometric identification.
• We do not create biometric profiles.
• Photos are stored locally on your device by default, unless you choose a feature that requires an upload for online processing.
• We do not use photos for training advertising systems or for marketing.

6) Optional Upload / Server-Side Processing Features (Including AI-Assisted Processing)

Some features may allow you to optionally upload photos and/or text to our own servers to process your content and return results (for example, generating descriptive text or helping organize entries).

When you choose to use these features:

• Upload is optional and under your control.
• Processing is performed on CidraLine’s own servers.
• We do not share the uploaded photos or text with any third party for this processing.
• Uploaded content is used only to perform the requested processing and is deleted immediately after processing is completed (or as soon as technically feasible).

You understand that results generated from processing may be imperfect, incomplete, or incorrect, and you agree to use your judgment before relying on them.

7) Location Features

If you grant the App location permission, the App may use precise or approximate location data to associate entries with places or enable location-based features. You can turn off location permissions at any time in your device settings, and some features may become unavailable.

8) Prohibited Conduct

• Use the App in violation of any law or regulation
• Upload unlawful, harmful, infringing, or rights-violating content
• Interfere with or disrupt the App, servers, or networks
• Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, data, or systems
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law
• Scrape content in bulk or use the App to build a competing product

9) Intellectual Property

The App, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by CidraLine or its licensors and is protected by applicable law. Except for the rights expressly granted to you, no rights are granted.

10) Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with or link to third-party services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms and policies.

11) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, pose a security risk, or if required by law. You may stop using the App at any time.

12) Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

13) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CidraLine will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data or profits. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CidraLine’s total liability will not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months before the event (or USD $50 if you paid nothing).

14) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CidraLine and its team members from claims arising out of your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

15) Governing Law; Binding Arbitration

These Terms are governed by the laws of CidraLine’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict of law principles. You and CidraLine agree to resolve disputes through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law, on an individual basis and not as a class action.

16) Apple Platform Terms (iOS)

• These Terms are between you and CidraLine, not Apple.
• Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support services for the App.
• Apple may refund the purchase price (if any) for the App if it fails to conform to an applicable warranty; Apple has no other warranty obligation to the maximum extent permitted by law.
• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

17) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time and will update the Effective Date. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
